Types of Stocking Seams
Modern seamed stockings come in a variety of colors and styles. One of the ways to differentiate them is to look at the types of seams available. Of course, there is the traditional seam that corresponds with the color of the stocking. But a new trend in seamed hosiery is the two toned style, also known as contrast seamed stockings.
Two toned seamed hosiery are those that have a different seam color than the stocking. Some dramatic colors are black seams on white stockings, pink seams on black stockings or white seams on red stockings. There are certainly other color combination available as well and are limited only by the imagination.
In addition to two toned seamed stockings, various patterns are also available. Instead of the traditional straight back seam, you can now get different geometric patterns such as diamonds, triangles and rectangles. You can also get different shapes such as hearts or shamrocks which is perfect for evening wear.
