Nylon stockings became popular after the end of World War II when they were first introduced in the 1940’s by Du Pont Corporation. It became and instant hit and almost completely replaced the silk stockings. From then on, the demands for nylon stockings gradually increase. Seamless nylon stockings became possible to produce by the invention of the circular knitting machine. Before that, the stocking were sewn at the seams on a flat knitting machine.
Nylon stockings are more preferable to silk stockings as they are sold at a lower price and they offer an ease of use. Without the hassles of taking care of the high-maintenance silk stockings, nylons are relatively easier to care for and dry in a short duration of time after a complete wash. The stockings can come in a variety array of colors, prints, knits and yarns. No matter what type of design you are aiming for, nylons have it – bold animal prints, subtle flower designs, or stripe – they cater to your individual’s need for a unique and stylish fashion statement. You may choose from fishnet, lacy types to ruffles. The nylon stockings are also available either knee high or thigh high depending on your preference.
Whether textured or micromesh, the nylon stockings are wonderful for many kinds of outfit to complete a glamorous appearance that young ladies desire. Garter belts are used to help hold the stockings up in place. With latest technology, silicones are added to the top bands of the nylon stockings to replace the function of garter belts which offer a much elegant look without trying to hard. For others, nylon stockings with lycra may be preferable as they offer the perfect fit and shape for the legs while showing their sheer visible charm.
When you wear nylons there are no stopping runs or snags from occurring. For nylons, try and have them on while you check for the snags that are typically caused by the running of your nails on the material. They usually occur near the thigh or heel of your nylons as these are the area where you pull with your hand while you work them up. The trick to stop the run is by using a clear nail polish. Dab a little near the end of the run to stop it from going any further. If other runs exist, do the same for them. Be happy flaunting your nylon-clad legs and have your nylon stockings last a long time by taking care of them like precious crown jewels!

Great looking nylons..The question is where does one get them? My husband loves me to wear them but I cannot find them anywhere locally.
